Amanda's Sessions at VMware Explore 2022
In just a few days thousands of people will be at Moscone in San Francisco and thousands others online for VMware Explore! With 100s of sessions, Hands On Labs (HOLs), and other events, it is hard to build a schedule to maximize your time and learn about all the cool, new stuff VMware is announcing.
I have the privilege of being part of many events and sessions in at Explore! My session involvement ranges from the General Session Keynote to the future of manufacturing. I’m posting my sessions here for you to find and add to your agenda from the content catalog.

Each session is interesting and special. The General Session Keynote is where you’ll hear an overview of many new VMware announcements. The Cross-Cloud Solution Keynote will be a level deeper from the general session where we’ll demo some of our new tech. Plus I’ll have a chat with Kelsey Hightower on career progression from vSphere admin to SRE and DevSecOps! Don’t miss that!
My first breakout is a professional development session where I share what I’ve learned over the past 12 years at VMware as I climbed from Senior Systems Engineer to the Americas Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and became VMware’s first woman CTO!
My second breakout represents one of the coolest tech projects I’ve worked on in my career. It is about the shift in industrial controls from proprietary, closed systems to decoupling hardware and software to provide flexibility and new capabilities in manufacturing, oil and gas, energy, and other industries where automating process control lines is key to their business. Open Process Automation is the biggest innovation in industrial controls in 40 years!
I hope to see you all at each session - they’re unique, fun, and showcase innovation across cloud, edge, many industries, and career growth.
Safe travels to San Francisco or enjoy the content online!
